I have always loved photography, even when I didn't know that I loved it. It all began when I was about 10 or 11 and one of my aunts gave me a camera (Vivitar 110 Pocket camera) for Christmas. My life changed from that point on. I took pictures of everything and everyone. In my possession are literally thousands of pictures I've taken, basically documenting my life. How cool is that?
Over the years, I obtained as much knowledge as I could about photography. I continually upgraded my cameras and tried new techniques, always trying to get better. For the most part I am a self-taught photographer, but decided to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta to learn more and hone the skills I already had. It was a wonderful experience for me and I'm so thankful I was able to take advantage of it. Who would have thought that someone with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems would end up being a photographer?
At any rate, I have been working as a professional photographer since 2003 (part-time) and in 2005 began working full-time. It has been a wonderful journey & I look forward to continuing it. What pushes me is my love of and passion for photography and being able to share that love and passion with others.
