The Woodards

On Saturday Nov. 29, I had the pleasure of photographing the Woodards & their dog Gia.  It was a fun session, as usual & the father didn’t really want to have his picture taken, as usual; therefore I had to work at getting him involved & smiling so that he didn’t look like he was having his driver’s license picture taken.  I find this a lot, men not wanting to have their picture taken.  Not sure why that is.  Perhaps they feel it’s not cool or  manly.  Or maybe they feel they are not photogenic.  Not really sure, but it happens over & over.  Very rarely do I find men who do want their pictures taken & when they do, it is for their business or website.  Go figure.  Anyway, here are images from the sitting, which I hope you enjoy.  As for the dog, we tried taking a few pictures with her, but she was so antsy, it was difficult getting her to sit in one place or at least where we wanted her to sit.  The two shots I did get we lucked up on.  Woohoo!

You can tell we did have fun, even letting them show a bit of their personality & the dynamics between them.

About Ayesha

I am a married, mother of one & a passionate photographer. I've been shooting since I was 11 & am mostly self-taught. Attended the Art Institute of Atlanta to further hone my skills & in 2003 decided to start my own photography business, working part-time. In 2005 I was able to start working full-time & I love it. During my growth phase, I was vacillating between the types of photography I wanted to do. After several sessions, I realized that I wanted to specialize in children & couples. I still photograph other subjects, but those two are my favorites. At any rate, it's all about the relationship between my subjects & me & capturing those special moments.
