Happy Father’s Day

I would just like to tell all of the daddy’s out there Happy Father’s Day.  In all my years I have learned that there are two types of men with children; fathers and daddies. Any man who has the physical ability to make a baby can be a father.  It’s those extraordinary men who take care of their children, love them and guide them that are daddies.

Even though my parents got divorced while I was very young, my daddy was around.  I spent time with him, he taught me things about life and about myself. My mom taught me things too, but it’s always good to get both perspectives on life.  I’ve learned that not only your mother, but your father can shape you as a person no matter if you’re male or female.

As you may know, and as I’ve mentioned previous times, I am a portrait photography who specializes in photographing children.  My favorite images are photographing children and their fathers or in most cases, their daddies.  Yes, mother and child pictures are beautiful too, but there is something different about a loving father and their child or children.  Mothers are expected to take care of the children and the fathers are expected to meet the financial needs of the family.  Mothers are compassionate and fathers are the enforcers.  It’s not always like that.  Daddies can love as hard as mommies, just maybe a little differently.

A child does not care who loves them or how they are loved.  They only care that they are loved.  Below are some of my favorite daddy and child images.  I hope you enjoy them.

About Ayesha

I am a married, mother of one & a passionate photographer. I've been shooting since I was 11 & am mostly self-taught. Attended the Art Institute of Atlanta to further hone my skills & in 2003 decided to start my own photography business, working part-time. In 2005 I was able to start working full-time & I love it. During my growth phase, I was vacillating between the types of photography I wanted to do. After several sessions, I realized that I wanted to specialize in children & couples. I still photograph other subjects, but those two are my favorites. At any rate, it's all about the relationship between my subjects & me & capturing those special moments.
